So. I’ve been shooting my Fuji X series cameras for a little over 2 years now and have only recently begun to use the much-lauded film simulations as the basis for my photographs.
I’ve become aware of a popular film stock being used by analog enthusiasts, CineStill 800T, and have developed an intense jealousy of the qualities this film brings to an image, especially night shots.
These were all taken with a version of Fuji’s Pro Neg Standard modified to emulate CineStill. With a little Edward Hopper always lurking in the back of my eye.

Soooo painterly, that cup still life.
Morandi by way of Caravaggio?
More like a constant nagging feeling that Kertesz could have turned my desktop into a series of masterworks by now and a longtime love of Dutch “golden age” painting.
The number of times I tried to do Vermeers with windows and wall hangings and a woman ON MY PHONES is embarrassing.
